(pose)

I guess those of you who stop by my little blog are sick of seeing this pictures of the boys from easter but it isn't often that I get pictures of them where they are actually managing to 'play nicely' for the camera so I am going to make the most of it with my layouts. This one was inspired by a layout from 2peas. Hope you like it.
Nothing much else to report. Mitchell is progressing really well - even managing to walk on his heels lots - something he has never managed to do for more than two or three steps without falling over. Here's hoping the casts continue to do their job.
I am in the process of making a little book for him to take to school for show and tell with pictures from his hospital stay so best get back to it!
Until next time.

Hospital Again

It is that time again - time for the first lot of Mitchell's plaster casts to be removed from his legs so that a second lot can be put on. The first series of casts has been moderately successful, although he has managed to work out that he can wriggle his toes right down so he can curl them over the bottom of the cast to walk up on his tippy toes - the exact thing we are trying to correct. I spoke to the doctor prior to Mitch going into the operating theatre and he is going to make the next series of plasters longer over the toe area of the foot. Here are some pics of my little man in the pre-op area. The nurses were very impressed by his demands to have pictures taken for showntell at school.

Yay, the stinky casts are going!!!!!On the scrapping front, things have been quite since Beck has gone home (insert lots of cries here). Have only managed two layouts in the week since she left, mind you I did go back to work for the week last week and again yesterday (I know, I know what sort of fool goes back to work when they are on long service leave for crying out loud). This is what I managed to create:

1. Some misting goodness, have to say that I am not 100% on the misting train just yet but figure that I need to at least attempt to use some of the goodies from Mistified with Heidi.

2. A bit of an experiment with an extra big photo. Have never scrapped and 8 x 12 pic before (well it was 8 x 12 before one of the edges was folded up at the photo processors). It is very plain and simple and still not 100% sure about the bottom left hand corner but not sure what else to add to it - wanted to keep it minimalist as possible. Just love love love the pic - I snapped it just as Lachie was lining up for his Cross Country a few weeks ago.
Not a lot else to report at the moment, just waiting for Mitch to come out of theatre. Thank goodness for internet access in hospitals to keep worried mothers (and fathers) less worried - if that is at all possible when your kids are in hospital.
Until next time,
Sarah xoxo

Oh what a Time ...

hehe doesn't that just bring Frankie Valli's song into your head with that title??? No??? Well it does for me.
And what a time it was. I have had the BIGGEST few weeks of my life and in one word it was AWESOME. Where on earth do I start???
I guess the beginning is the best place. Rewind about a week ago and a very special visitor arrived on my doorstep - the one and only Beck (bout time you updated your blog too hey honey hehehehehe???!!!) came to stay and play for a little while. OMG we had the best time. We might not have set any world records with our scrapping (although Beck managed to pump out more LO's than I did) but man did we have a great time just sitting around scrapping and chatting the days (and nights) away. We hit Toowoomba to check out the local scrap scene and then on Friday we hit Brisbane with a vengence - let's just say the shops, or our bank balances will never be the same for a VERY long time hehehe. We were lucky enough to be joined by two of Beck's friends from back home as well. My sides are still recovering from all the laughing. Despite the big day on Friday, we were up early to head to Misitfied with one of my all time favourite scrapping heroines, Heidi Swapp. And yes, while those of you who know me joke frequently at the fact I am some-what of a Heidi junkie, I just want to say to all the naysayers out there, you cannot fake emotion like that. What she said when introducing the House of 3 class will stick with me to the day I die and in case you were still wondering about the authenticity of her words, let me just say, there was barely a dry eye in the house. Proof enough for me that you cannot fake emotion like that.
I am still going through all the pics taken at Heidi so I am going to leave you with pictures of the layouts I created while Beck was here. Sniff sniff, wish she was still here, I miss her so much.

Will be back in the next day or so with Heidi (yippee) pics and finally the giveaway as promised.
Thanks for stopping by.
